5/9/10 - Happy Mother's Day!

Today is Mother’s Day and I’m really bummed that I can’t even send an email to all of my mothers!  So this belated post will have to do.  I hope everyone had a great day.

We left our anchorage about 9:00 this morning and are having a beautiful day on the water.  The winds are really blowing so we’re making very good time.  We’re running a consistent 8 knots with our main sail on it’s third reef and only a bit of the jib out.  At this rate, we’ll get there tomorrow with only one overnight sail.

I had a lot of time to think today and got zonked over the head with how lucky I am to have a husband like Andy and a son like Jake.  I know everyone thinks their family is the greatest so I won't go into why I think this but just wanted to share that I'm very aware of how wonderful they are and very appreciative!
